RN Charge Nurse

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Skilled Nursing facility during the assigned shift under the Director of Nursing
• Manage administrative and professional policies to ensure quality patient care
• Delegate responsibilities to staff to ensure clinical duties and unit activities are completed
• Assess physical condition and nursing needs of residents
• Direct and assure appropriate nursing action in crisis situations
• Investigate incidents and accidents
• Adjust staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage on each unit
• Perform all standard duties and functions of a Registered Nurse

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered, active RN license in the state
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, and regulations for nursing care facilities
• Leadership and supervisory ability to manage personnel
• Ability to provide care appropriate to adult and geriatric age-related needs
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and physical/drug screen
