RLHO Graduate Assistant - Residential Experience

Responsibilities

• Manage departmental marketing and social media presence across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
• Assess resident engagement through data review, daily duty reports, and 1:1 conversations
• Develop and execute large-scale programming advertisements and official housing marketing
• Assist with department recognition programs, such as "Of the Month" awards and annual Recognition Week
• Capture photo and video documentation of various residential events and experiences
• Participate in the recruitment, training, and mentorship of Resident Assistants and Office Assistants
• Serve on a weekday, weekend, or holiday on-call crisis response rotation
• Support residential move-in, room change, and move-out processes

Requirements

• Must be a current UIW graduate student or enrolled in a UIW graduate program by the start of employment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva
• Strong social media management skills
• Valid Texas driver’s license with the ability to be insured through the university
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Residence Life or University Housing

Benefits

• 12-month live-in leadership role
• $5,000 stipend per semester (distributed in 10 installments each semester)
