RLHO Graduate Assistant - Housing Operations

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and aesthetics of the residential community at UIW
• Manage occupancy and assist with large-scale departmental operational events
• Recruit, train, and mentor Resident Assistants and Office Assistants
• Manage comprehensive reports regarding office visits, maintenance, key inventory, and unit inspections
• Coordinate department supply closet inventory and manage departmental golf cart maintenance
• Assist with budget reconciliation for departmental purchase cards
• Support residential marketing through tours, materials, and project initiatives
• Participate in a weekday, weekend, or holiday on-call crisis response rotation

Requirements

• Current UIW graduate student (or enrolled in a UIW graduate program by start of employment)
• Valid Texas driver’s license with the ability to be insured through UIW’s carrier
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong communication, leadership, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively with diverse communities
• Physical ability to drive a golf cart and lift/move event materials up to 60lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Residence Life or Housing operations

Benefits

• 12-month live-in leadership role
• $5,000 stipend per semester (distributed in 10 installments each semester)
