About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead risk modeling process design tasks by architecting optimal solutions and interacting with model developers, owners, and data providers.
- Collaborate with modeling stakeholders to enhance and enforce operational structures for effective process management.
- Produce comprehensive modeling process design documents and operational manuals for users.
- Manage project planning, implementation, issue remediation, UAT test case creation, and progressive status tracking.
- Support modeling production problem-solving in real time by working closely with modeling teams.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematical Finance, Statistics, or Financial Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in model development or model ownership with a solid understanding of risk measures such as Greeks, VAR, and Stress Testing.
- 5+ years of experience in process workflow design, data modeling, and analytics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
- Hands-on experience with object-oriented or functional programming and designing automation applications/tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a workflow designer, financial modeler, data scientist, or AI developer within financial institutions.
- Experience with data solution architecture using tools like Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, MS Azure, or Oracle.
- Knowledge of business process management tools such as PEGA or Appian.
- Proficiency with BI tools including Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
