Risk Manager

Responsibilities

• Implement or support an integrated risk management framework across a major capital programme
• Facilitate identification, assessment, and prioritisation of threats, opportunities, and issues
• Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points for risk cost profiling
• Use risk data to inform investment planning
• Identify and record measurable management responses and assess post-mitigated positions
• Monitor overall risk exposure against the remaining risk budget
• Work with contractors to assess contractor-held risks and client-held risks
• Produce timely risk reports to communicate threat and opportunity status
• Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency levels

Requirements

• Proven experience in a risk delivery role on major projects or programmes
• Experience with quantitative risk assessment (QRA)
• Proficiency in probabilistic modelling tools such as @risk, PRA, or Safran
• Proficiency in P6 or equivalent
• Familiarity with web-based database tools like ARM, Predict, or Tableau
• Strong qualitative and quantitative risk assessment capabilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• APM or IRM risk certification
• Degree qualified in a construction-related subject
