Risk Management Framework Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for U.S. Air Force information systems
• Conduct security control assessments and validate effectiveness of implemented controls
• Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
• Prepare and maintain RMF documentation including SSPs, POA&Ms, and Risk Assessment Reports
• Implement and manage continuous monitoring strategies for ongoing assessment and authorization
• Work with system owners and developers to integrate security requirements throughout the lifecycle
• Support internal and external audits, reviews, and inspections
• Mentor and guide junior staff in RMF tasks and best practices

Requirements

• US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI)
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of Cybersecurity experience with 3+ years specializing in RMF and DoD systems
• Proficiency with eMASS and vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, ACAS, or SCAP
• In-depth knowledge of NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, 800-171, and DoD Instruction 8510.01
• Strong communication skills for interacting with military command, contractors, and civilians
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Authorization Professional (CAP)
