Risk & Control Manager

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Internal Controls Integrated Framework (ICIF) across business functions, providing second-line reviews.
• Manage data within the ICIF system (Polaris) to ensure consistency with the Group’s ERM framework.
• Act as the primary contact and champion for the Polaris system, advising users and promoting new analytics and automation.
• Identify process and control gaps through quarterly attestations and other assurance assessments.
• Provide effective review and challenge to first-line teams' actions and proposals.
• Deliver clear and timely risk reporting to management.
• Support the Singapore Head of Risk as the secretary of the Risk and Control Committee.
• Engage with stakeholders across various functions, including Regional and Group teams.
• Provide training and briefings to teams to promote a robust risk culture.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in risk management at major insurers or financial institutions.
• Academic degree in accounting, insurance, engineering, business, or a relevant subject.
• Proven experience in operational risk, audit, or internal controls.
• Experience working with and implementing sophisticated enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tasks end-to-end with a hands-on attitude.
