Risk Control Consultant

Responsibilities

• Evaluate policyholders' risk control environments from an all-lines perspective
• Facilitate on-site surveys and inspections with third-party field representatives
• Identify risk exposures and analyze risk experience and program needs
• Provide high-touch safety and risk consultation to members
• Communicate identified life safety, operational, and property concerns to Underwriting, Claims, and Account Services
• Conduct loss analyses to develop tailored loss control programs
• Collaborate with management to create risk management educational materials

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience in risk control or safety
• Bachelor's Degree in safety, engineering, or a related field
• Intermediate knowledge of OSHA and NFPA standards
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel approximately 20% annually
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or ARM-P
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation
• Experience with general liability and property insurance
• Experience with apartment real estate or public housing operations
