Risk Consulting - Process and Controls - Senior - Energy Sector

Responsibilities

• Independently execute and deliver Internal Audit, SOX, and process review engagements for global Energy sector clients.
• Perform detailed process walkthroughs and testing, focusing on sector trends such as energy transition, decarbonization, and regulatory reforms.
• Identify control gaps, operational inefficiencies, and compliance risks, providing practical and implementable recommendations.
• Prepare high-quality, evidence-based audit documentation and working papers.
• Collaborate with global EY member firms to support delivery across various accounts and business processes.
• Contribute to innovation by applying data analytics, automation, and digital audit techniques to improve engagement efficiency.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of post-qualification experience in consulting or industry roles focused on process and controls, internal audits, or business process evaluation.
• Proven experience delivering or supporting client engagements, with experience in the Energy sector being a significant plus.
• Proficiency in GenAI tools, MS Office, data analytics, and data validation.
• Strong analytical, structured thinking, and consulting skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within distributed teams and global delivery models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Big Four or top-tier consulting experience.
• End-to-end understanding of the Energy value chain, including supplier management, ESG reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on experience guiding junior team members on execution standards and audit methodologies.
