Risk Advisor, Assistant Vice President

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line risk advisory support to business, product, technology, and client teams
• Participate in risk governance forums and prepare necessary materials and communications
• Monitor risk metrics, KRIs, and risk profiles to identify emerging trends and issues
• Coordinate RCSA activities, including assessment reviews and escalation of concerns
• Support control design and effectiveness reviews to identify gaps and root causes
• Track remediation actions for incidents, control issues, and audit items through to closure
• Translate regulatory expectations and risk frameworks into practical business guidance
• Partner with global business risk management and second/third line teams to ensure alignment
• Maintain subject matter expertise in Depositary regulations and risk management practices
• Drive innovation within the function, including the adoption of AI and novel technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline
• 7+ years of experience in financial services risk, operations, or control functions
• Hands-on experience in Depositary operational or risk management
• Deep understanding of client-facing operational risk and EMEA regulatory frameworks
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and cultures
• Experience working within highly regulated financial environments
