Right of Way Land Agent

Responsibilities

• Provide land acquisition services throughout the right-of-way lifecycle in compliance with project guidelines and regulations
• Review and correct title takeoffs, construction plans, and ROW documents
• Deliver property rights documents to owners and representatives, negotiating and securing parcels through approved counteroffers
• Maintain contact documentation, conduct final title checks, and manage back taxes
• Submit and track offer letters, counteroffers, and Releases of Damages
• Handle administrative tasks including mailing notifications, filing deeds, and organizing acquisition packets
• Support efficient project closeout by submitting vendor forms to expedite payments
• Travel occasionally to government buildings and various project locations

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of Right of Way (ROW) experience
• High school diploma
• Proficiency in ArcGIS and Field Maps
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Earth
• Knowledge of real estate values and accepted appraisal practices
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in remote locations and meet project deadlines
