Rigger

Responsibilities

• Prepare and inspect rigging equipment to ensure safety and functionality
• Set up rigging for lifting heavy equipment in onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities
• Select appropriate rigging gear such as slings, shackles, chains, and wire ropes
• Attach and secure loads to cranes following strict safety procedures
• Signal and communicate with crane operators to guide load movement
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report maintenance needs
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and site-specific protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in rigging and lifting operations from a recognized institution
• 3-5 years of experience in rigging, specifically within oil and gas projects
• Experience working with heavy machinery, cranes, and hoisting equipment
• Ability to read and interpret load charts and rigging plans
• Strong understanding of safety regulations like OSHA or LOLER
• Physical fitness for working at heights and in confined spaces
