RF/Microwave Engineer

Responsibilities

• Simulate and model RF front-end systems
• Derive RF hardware specifications for systems and blocks
• Develop RF/microwave circuits, components, MMICs, boards, and packages
• Evaluate and characterize prototypes and RF components
• Characterize and analyze full radio performance
• Assist in developing automated test equipment for lab measurements
• Work with manufacturing engineers on production testing of RF avionics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 2+ years of research or industry experience in RF/microwave circuit design
• Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in engineering with emphasis in RF/microwave or electromagnetics
• Experience with linear and non-linear circuits (PA, LNA, mixers, filters, PLLs)
• Proficiency with spectrum analyzers, VSA, VSG, and network analyzers
• Knowledge of digital communication systems (QPSK, APSK, QAM)
• Experience with ADS, HFSS, AWR, or similar design tools
• Proficiency in Matlab, Python, C++, or LabVIEW
• Experience with Ku, Ka, V, and E-band frequency ranges
