Lynk’s technology enables mobile network operators' subscribers to send and receive text messages to and from space via standard unmodified, mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Support design of spacecraft payload hardware including single-board computers, SDRs, FPGAs, SoCs, processors, LNAs, filters, and amplifiers
• Support selection and design of nanosatellite antenna technologies
• Develop link budget analyses, simulations, traffic/capacity analysis, RF system design, and frequency planning
• Support spacecraft payload integration, testing, and delivery to launch and spacecraft bus partners
• Design and plan payload testing configurations for both in-lab and in-orbit performance
• Interface with Systems Engineering to inform constellation and network architecture
• Perform bench-level mechatronics work including testing, integration, assembly, and prototyping
• Maintain technical documentation for payload design and development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or better in RF or Electrical Engineering
• Experience developing space payload hardware and software, preferably communications systems
• Hands-on experience with SDRs, antennas, FPGAs, GPUs, CPUs, SoCs, or microcontrollers
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C, Python, or MATLAB
• Experience working with Linux-based systems
• Knowledge of RF air interfaces and multiple access schemes (TDMA, FDMA, OFDMA, CDMA)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
