RF Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware and software test solutions for the RF and wireless subsystems of Spectacles augmented reality eyewear
• Create comprehensive test plans and report creation tools to support wireless subsystem validation
• Author clear and detailed technical documentation
• Automate common RF and electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
• Develop data processing tools to analyze and present complex test data

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field
• 7+ years of relevant experience in RF engineering or testing
• Fundamental understanding of RF engineering principles and physical layer measurements
• Experience with wireless standards such as WiFi, Bluetooth, BLE, and cellular
• Proficiency in Python or Labview for creating test environments
• Experience automating or scripting for Android and/or Linux embedded devices
• Ability to perform statistical analysis on test data
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in RF/Electrical engineering or a related field
• Experience performing specific RF measurements such as ALCR, EVM, receiver sensitivity, and out-of-band emissions
• Proven ability to debug both hardware and software products and tools
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
