About the role
Responsibilities
- Design test setups and develop test plans and procedures
- Develop test scripts to automate tests
- Conduct RF testing and post-process test data
- Develop comprehensive test reports
- Arrange and purchase necessary test equipment and components
- Train and support production technicians
- Act as the focal point for EMI/EMC testing and evaluation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communications, RF, or a related technical discipline
- Working knowledge of RF components (splitters, attenuators, amplifiers, frequency converters)
- Solid theoretical understanding of RF test and measurement principles
- General understanding of EMI/EMC testing
- For Level II: 2+ years of experience in RF device/system testing
- For Level II: Proficiency with Vector Network Analyzers (VNA) and spectrum analyzers
- For Level II: Understanding of MIL-STD-461 and SMC-S-016
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing automated test setups and scripts
- Knowledge of RF communications systems (modulation, coding, link analysis)
- Experience with end-to-end testing (e.g., Eb/N0 vs BER testing)
- Familiarity with ITU radio regulations and RF licensing processes
