RF Test Engineer I/II

Responsibilities

• Design test setups and develop test plans and procedures
• Develop test scripts to automate tests
• Conduct RF testing and post-process test data
• Develop comprehensive test reports
• Arrange and purchase necessary test equipment and components
• Train and support production technicians
• Act as the focal point for EMI/EMC testing and evaluation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communications, RF, or a related technical discipline
• Working knowledge of RF components (splitters, attenuators, amplifiers, frequency converters)
• Solid theoretical understanding of RF test and measurement principles
• General understanding of EMI/EMC testing
• For Level II: 2+ years of experience in RF device/system testing
• For Level II: Proficiency with Vector Network Analyzers (VNA) and spectrum analyzers
• For Level II: Understanding of MIL-STD-461 and SMC-S-016

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing automated test setups and scripts
• Knowledge of RF communications systems (modulation, coding, link analysis)
• Experience with end-to-end testing (e.g., Eb/N0 vs BER testing)
• Familiarity with ITU radio regulations and RF licensing processes
