RF Systems Test Engineer

Lynk's technology enables mobile network operators' subscribers to send and receive text messages to and from space via standard unmodified mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Integrate flight and lab RF hardware electronics and design test beds or fixtures for operational verification
• Design, develop, and document test and integration procedures for RF hardware, specifically RF Front Ends and Mixed-Signal Digital Electronics
• Design, develop, and maintain hardware and software for Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)
• Perform bench-level debugging and troubleshooting of electronics during functional and environmental testing
• Inform the design and optimization of operational testing procedures for production and R&D campaigns
• Focus on automation for testing and data collection tools to ensure reliable, repeatable, and scalable production testing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or better in Electrical, RF, Aerospace, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering
• 5+ years of experience as an RF Engineer focused on system design or test
• Proficiency with standard RF lab equipment including Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and Vector Network Analyzers
• Hands-on experience with RFFE PCBs, single-board computers, microcontrollers, FPGAs, GPUs, CPUs, SoCs, or software-defined radios
• Ability to read and understand integrated circuit datasheets
• Experience with Linux-based systems and programming proficiency in Rust, C++, C, Python, or MATLAB
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EMI testing (RE 102, RS103) and vibration testing
• Familiarity with Ethernet, Serial, or CAN communication protocols
• Experience developing space payload hardware or communications systems
• Experience testing digitally or electronically steered Phased Array Antenna systems
• Experience with GSM/LTE/NR communications and cellular backhaul networks
