RF Engineer Test & Validation

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product development and innovation projects, including concept development, prototyping, and validation for future RF technologies.
• Conceptualize, design, and implement automated RF and communications test solutions with software-controlled environments.
• Develop test specifications, plans, and instructions for efficient and performant test solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software, and measurement equipment problems.
• Perform system-level RF simulations and electro-magnetic full-wave simulations.
• Design, prototype, and build RF demonstrators for mmWave and sub-THz applications.
• Collaborate with international partners, including suppliers and universities.
• Mentor working students and support knowledge transfer within the team.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in RF engineering.
• Deep understanding of test methods and measurement techniques for RF, communications, and/or radar.
• Proficiency in RF/mmWave system-level simulation tools (e.g., Keysight SystemVue) and full-wave EM simulation tools (e.g., HFSS).
• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.
• Strong analytical thinking and experience in software and hardware debugging.
• Fluent in both German and English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 2-8 weeks per year.
