About the role
Responsibilities
- Contribute to product development and innovation projects, including concept development, prototyping, and validation for future RF technologies.
- Conceptualize, design, and implement automated RF and communications test solutions with software-controlled environments.
- Develop test specifications, plans, and instructions for efficient and performant test solutions.
- Analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software, and measurement equipment problems.
- Perform system-level RF simulations and electro-magnetic full-wave simulations.
- Design, prototype, and build RF demonstrators for mmWave and sub-THz applications.
- Collaborate with international partners, including suppliers and universities.
- Mentor working students and support knowledge transfer within the team.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in RF engineering.
- Deep understanding of test methods and measurement techniques for RF, communications, and/or radar.
- Proficiency in RF/mmWave system-level simulation tools (e.g., Keysight SystemVue) and full-wave EM simulation tools (e.g., HFSS).
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.
- Strong analytical thinking and experience in software and hardware debugging.
- Fluent in both German and English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel internationally approximately 2-8 weeks per year.
