RF Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform telemetry and log analysis and hands-on debugging to drive root cause and corrective action of failed phased-array, Wi-Fi, and power supply PCBAs
• Build and maintain critical tools and custom software to assess the performance and reliability of Starlink customer hardware
• Run internal betas and product launches to identify and resolve design issues in hardware or software
• Collaborate across engineering, production, test, inventory, quality, supply chain, and customer experience teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, RF engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, or other STEM discipline
• 1+ years of experience with digital or mixed-signal designs using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and soldering equipment
• Working understanding of networking technologies including ethernet protocols and WiFi standards
• 1+ years of experience with data analysis in Python or R
• Ability to work on-site in Bastrop, TX
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consumer electronics industry
• Proficiency in understanding PCB schematics and layout tools
• Experience with CPU, FPGA, ASIC circuit boards, Linux, or high-speed interfaces
• Knowledge of antenna theory, RF antennas, and communication systems
• Experience with SQL and software design principles
• Understanding of home network technologies (DNS, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6, etc.)
