RF Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and verify RF subassemblies, circuits, modules, and systems including filters, LNAs, oscillators, mixers, and PLLs.
• Perform analog RF circuit and system design while interfacing with PCB designers to ensure superior layout performance.
• Create and manage engineering prototypes and validate new designs to characterize total performance to failure.
• Use electronic test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes to tune and test passive and active modules.
• Respond to RFQs by evaluating the feasibility of electrical and mechanical specifications.
• Collaborate with customers and business development to understand and influence technical specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 10+ years of technical experience in RF design.
• Proven experience in RF filter and amplifier design, frequency converters, and impedance matching.
• Demonstrated ability to work within the frequency range of .001 to 40 GHz with a broadband focus.
• Mastery of filter synthesis, simulation, and analysis software.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
• Strong problem-solving skills across schematic, layout, module assembly, and system levels.
