Revenue Cycle Specialist

Responsibilities

• Process, review, and file insurance claims, including Medicaid/Medicare, to ensure timely resolution and payment
• Collect and enter patient insurance information into the billing system
• Verify and submit insurance claims while following up with payers to resolve outstanding issues
• Resubmit claims that have received no response and manage correspondence from third-party payers
• Assist patients with billing inquiries and facilitate the collection of patient balances
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation for billing information and future audits

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of insurance Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
• Proven experience in post-claim follow-up
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and the insurance industry
• Proficiency with computer programs and applications
• Strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation for professional correspondence

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with physician claim billing
