Revenue Cycle Coverage and Claims Associate I

Responsibilities

• File insurance claims accurately and timely for Exact Sciences
• Determine initial and ongoing patient insurance eligibility for commercial and government plans
• Investigate and correct account details within Epic, including patient demographics and financial information
• Interact with third-party payors to ensure proper authorization is obtained and documented
• Research missing or erroneous account information using various portals and resources
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
• Communicate insurance information effectively to ancillary departments and internal teams

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• 3+ months of experience in any healthcare field
• Strong knowledge of insurance claims procedures and order management
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) operating systems
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance terms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality output

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a related field
• 1+ years of experience in medical or insurance billing
• Experience using revenue cycle platform applications
• Medical billing certification
