Revenue Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day revenue accounting operations in accordance with ASC 606
• Manage month-end revenue close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and deferred revenue schedules
• Review customer contracts and Salesforce opportunities to ensure accurate revenue recognition and prepare accounting memos
• Drive AI-enabled automation initiatives using tools like Claude AI and ChatGPT to streamline revenue and billing processes
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Revenue Operations to ensure policy compliance and process scalability
• Support external audits by providing documentation for revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable
• Conduct periodic reviews of revenue recognition controls and implement efficiency improvements
• Support billing operations, including invoice preparation, customer inquiries, and collections coordination

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of Big 4 or similar public accounting experience
• Proven experience with SaaS revenue transactions and ASC 606 expertise
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large, complex datasets
• Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to drive process improvements
• Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology industry
• Experience scaling revenue, billing, and accounts receivable operations
