Revenue Accounting Manager, Ads

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting and controllership for Ads revenue, including revenue recognition, contra-revenue, rev-share, and incentives under ASC 606.
• Design and execute scalable month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accurate reporting through reconciliations and flux analysis.
• Develop accounting and control frameworks for global Ads expansion, covering new currencies, billing entities, and tax/invoice localization.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to validate Ads measurement logic such as impressions, clicks, and billable events.
• Utilize AI, data tooling, and automation to improve close speed, exception management, and reconciliation quality.
• Lead audit support, including documentation, walkthroughs, and issue remediation for Ads revenue accounting.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, specifically in ads revenue accounting or controllership within a public or high-growth private company.
• CPA or equivalent expertise with a strong command of ASC 606.
• Deep expertise in advertising business models (adtech, retail media, or high-volume usage-based revenue).
• Proven ability to build 0-to-1 finance processes and harden them into scalable, audit-ready procedures.
• Strong data fluency and experience validating high-volume calculations and tracing source-system data to the GL.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP, revenue systems, or billing platforms.
• Practical experience applying AI or automation within a Finance organization.
