About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a dynamic portfolio of reunion and leadership-level prospects, identifying, cultivating, and soliciting gifts ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 and above.
- Lead fundraising strategy development for milestone reunion classes to establish participation and philanthropic goals.
- Recruit, train, and manage reunion volunteers and class committees to support peer-to-peer outreach and donor engagement.
- Partner with Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, and Leadership Giving teams to coordinate reunion campaigns and stewardship efforts.
- Conduct personal outreach, donor visits, and virtual meetings to strengthen alumni relationships and identify major gift opportunities.
- Utilize Advancement CRM systems to track donor engagement, analyze giving trends, and maintain accurate donor records.
- Represent the University at alumni events, campus programs, and donor engagement opportunities, including evening and weekend activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in fundraising, alumni relations, advancement services, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Experience with CRM systems and donor databases.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for alumni and fundraising events.
- Willingness to travel throughout the greater New York City region and Northeast corridor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically with volunteers, reunion fundraising, or annual giving initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in frontline fundraising or donor cultivation.
- Previous experience in higher education advancement.
