Retrofit Validation Technician

Responsibilities

• Implement modification projects in accordance with method instructions, including non-regression testing and software updates
• Perform electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and trim modifications following established procedures
• Conduct initial investigations and troubleshooting related to modification scopes
• Ensure all validation tools are calibrated and all necessary resources (tools, parts, documents) are available before starting work
• Collect and analyze technical information to propose adjustments based on client installation constraints
• Functionally lead operator agents or teams of validation technicians
• Perform self-checks, detect anomalies, and formally report technical issues
• Complete CMMS (GMAO) databases with relevant technical information
• Ensure compliance with EHS rules, prevention plans, and quality standards

Requirements

• Proven technical knowledge in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems (experience in railway, aerospace, or automated processes preferred)
• Understanding of IP connectivity and MAC addressing
• Knowledge of railway network protocols such as TCN, MVB, and WTB
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and principle schematics
• Electrical certification (Habilitation électrique)
• Proficiency with IT tools including CMMS, ERP, and Office Suite
• Intermediate level of French and English
• Valid driving license
• Ability to work on-site with flexible hours and frequent travel
