Retail Training Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on new hire training in a convenience store environment to drive consistency and standardization.
• Facilitate new hire orientation sessions and in-person classes.
• Administer candidate skill assessments and document results in the HRIS.
• Work with management to identify performance gaps and develop solutions to improve team performance.
• Manage training content and collaborate on the design and implementation of training manuals and aides.
• Apply adult learning methodologies using web-based training and presentations.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports regarding training effectiveness.
• Maintain subject matter expertise in store equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent retail experience.
• Proven experience in training facilitation and meeting leadership.
• Experience coaching for performance improvement and driving key metrics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Proficiency in videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom and Teams.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work an irregular schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized training in a retail environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or Adult Education.
• 2-3 years of front-line retail experience.
• Experience with HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
