Retail Training Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on new hire training in a convenience store environment to drive consistency and standardization for On the Run and Dirt Cheap locations
• Facilitate new hire orientation sessions and in-person classes using adult learning methodologies
• Administer candidate skill assessments and document results in the HRIS
• Work with management to identify performance gaps and develop solutions to improve individual and team performance
• Manage training content and collaborate on the design and implementation of new hire manuals and training aids
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports regarding training effectiveness
• Ensure strict compliance with company standards, including pre-employment drug testing and safety protocols

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent retail experience
• Proven experience in training facilitation and coaching for performance improvement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficiency in videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom and Teams
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized training in a retail environment
• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or Adult Education
• 2-3 years of front-line retail experience
• Experience leveraging HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
