Retail Training Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on new hire training at Retail Training Stores to drive consistency and standardization for On the Run and Dirt Cheap locations.
• Facilitate new hire orientation sessions and in-person classes using adult learning methodologies.
• Administer candidate skill and behavior assessments and document results in HRIS.
• Work alongside entry-level team members in a convenience store environment to ensure compliance with training manuals and company standards.
• Identify performance gaps and collaborate with management to develop solutions for individual and team improvement.
• Manage training content, including the design and implementation of new hire manuals and training aids.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports regarding training effectiveness and results.
• Maintain subject matter expertise in store equipment, SOPs, and company core values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and retail experience.
• Proven experience in the facilitation of training and meetings with various levels of leadership.
• Experience coaching employees for performance improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Proficiency in videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work an irregular schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized training in a retail environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or Adult Education.
• 2-3 years of front-line retail experience.
• Experience leveraging HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
