About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on new hire training in a convenience store environment to drive consistency and standardization for On the Run and Dirt Cheap locations.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation sessions and in-person classes.
  • Administer candidate skill and behavior assessments and document results in HRIS.
  • Work with management to identify performance gaps and develop solutions to improve individual and team performance.
  • Manage training content and collaborate on the design and implementation of new hire manuals and training aids.
  • Apply adult learning methodologies using web-based training, presentations, and videoconferencing.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports regarding training effectiveness.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in store equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and retail experience.
  • Proven experience in the facilitation of training and meetings with various levels of leadership.
  • Experience coaching employees for performance improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work an irregular schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialized training in a retail environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or Adult Education.
  • 2-3 years of front-line retail experience.
  • Experience leveraging HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
