Retail Training Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on new hire training at retail training stores to drive consistency, standardization, and accountability
• Work alongside entry-level team members in a convenience store environment to implement training manuals and company standards
• Administer candidate skill assessments, behavior assessments, and pre-employment drug tests
• Facilitate new hire orientation sessions and other in-person classes
• Manage training content and collaborate on the development of new hire manuals, aides, and training documents
• Identify performance gaps and work with management to develop solutions for individual and team improvement
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports regarding training effectiveness and results
• Maintain subject matter expertise in store equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Work an irregular schedule, including some evenings and weekends

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent retail experience
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Ability to work irregular schedules, including evenings and weekends
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized training in a retail environment
• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or Adult Education
• 2-3 years of front-line retail experience
• Experience with videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
• Experience with retail equipment including POS systems, lottery terminals, and kitchen equipment
