Retail Training Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on new hire training in a convenience store environment to ensure compliance with training manuals and company standards
• Facilitate new hire orientation sessions and in-person classes to immerse employees in the company culture
• Administer candidate skill assessments and document results within the HRIS
• Work with management to identify performance gaps and develop solutions to improve individual and team performance
• Manage training content and collaborate on the design and implementation of new hire manuals and training aids
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports regarding training effectiveness and results
• Maintain subject matter expertise in store equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent retail experience
• Proven experience in training facilitation and meeting leadership
• Experience in performance coaching and driving key metrics
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience using HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized training in a retail environment
• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or Adult Education
• 2-3 years of front-line retail experience
• Experience with videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
