Retail Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Detect suspicious behavior and deter vandalism, theft, or criminal activity
• Patrol interior and exterior property on foot or in company vehicles
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper security
• Identify and report safety risks, security risks, and undesirable conditions
• Report alarms and contact emergency services (police, paramedics, fire department)
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or smoking
• Complete parking patrols and issue violations
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Follow site-specific opening and closing procedures including locking/unlocking areas

Requirements

• AZ Unarmed Guard Card (must have or be willing to obtain)
• 18 years of age or older
• 21 years of age or older to drive company vehicles
• Valid Driver's License
• High school degree or equivalent
• Ability to perform physical tasks including crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, and standing for extended periods
• Weekend and holiday availability

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security experience
