Retail Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Engage consumers in personalized conversations to understand their needs and provide product recommendations.
• Act as a Brand Ambassador by sharing the Columbia Sportswear story and embodying company values.
• Use selling techniques and product knowledge to influence buying decisions and build brand loyalty.
• Merchandise products to tell compelling stories and maintain sales floor standards through restocking.
• Perform cash register transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges, accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory accuracy by receiving and processing incoming and outgoing products.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• 2 years or less of experience in a retail or customer-facing position.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience engaging consumers.
• Ability to operate Point of Sale (POS) and inventory software systems.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Availability to work a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
