About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying financial needs and providing tailored advice.
- Conduct needs-based assessments to recommend solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs.
- Proactively engage the community to generate appointments and build new customer relationships.
- Provide guidance on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance customer convenience.
- Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
- Collaborate with branch team members to achieve business objectives and improve the overall customer experience.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of retail investment products and lending solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and adapt to changing market needs or branch locations.
