Retail Relationship Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying financial needs and providing tailored advice.
• Conduct needs-based assessments to recommend solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs.
• Proactively engage with the community to generate appointments and build new client relationships.
• Provide guidance on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance the customer experience.
• Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
• Collaborate with branch and market teams to achieve business objectives and ensure accurate data entry.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of retail investment products and lending solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include different shifts or multiple branch locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a consultative customer service environment.
• Proven track record of meeting sales and service goals in a team-based setting.
• Specialized knowledge of personal and small business banking products.
