About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying needs and providing tailored financial advice.
- Conduct needs-based assessments to recommend solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs.
- Proactively engage with the community to generate appointments and build new customer relationships.
- Provide guidance on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance the customer experience.
- Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
- Ensure accurate data entry and compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- Working knowledge of retail investment products and lending solutions.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment.

- Experience in a consultative customer service or sales-driven environment.
- Proven ability to build rapport and long-term connections with clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
