About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service by identifying customer needs and providing advice on financial solutions, including retail investments and lending.
- Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
- Recommend tailored solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs.
- Guide customers on digital and self-serve banking options to improve their experience.
- Generate new business by reaching out to the community and building new relationships.
- Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
- Ensure accurate data entry and compliance with legal and regulatory standards during the lending process.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and personal/small business banking solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including social media, tablets, and mobile applications.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment and adapt to changing market needs.
