Retail Relationship Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service by identifying customer needs and providing tailored financial solutions, including retail investments and lending.
• Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
• Recommend tailored solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs.
• Provide guidance on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance the customer experience.
• Generate new business by reaching out to the community and building new relationships.
• Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including identifying and reporting suspicious activity related to money laundering.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of retail investment products and lending solutions.
• Federal registration with the NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Proficiency in using digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment.
• Bilingualism in Spanish and English is preferred.
