Retail Relationship Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to customers and prospects by identifying financial needs and providing tailored advice.
• Conduct needs-based assessments to recommend solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs.
• Proactively engage the community to generate appointments and build new client relationships.
• Provide guidance on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance the customer experience.
• Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in compliance with bank policies.
• Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve customer issues and maintain accurate data entry for lending applications and consumer credit audits.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required.
• Working knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and personal banking solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include different shifts or multiple branch locations.
