About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying needs and providing tailored financial advice.
- Proactively engage with existing customers and community members to grow loyalty and identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct needs-based assessments to recommend solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs.
- Guide customers toward digital and self-serve banking options to enhance their experience.
- Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain a high-quality lending portfolio.
- Collaborate with branch and market teams to achieve business objectives and contribute to a positive team culture.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and personal/small business banking solutions.
- Federal registration with the NMLS is required (the Bank will provide instruction on registration requirements).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and connections.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
