Retail Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of medication distribution and efficient delivery
• Perform pharmacy inventory tasks including receiving, shelving, and monitoring for outdated medications
• Handle data entry, claims billing, prescription filling, and cashiering duties
• Respond to telephone inquiries and route calls appropriately
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean pharmacy environment
• Participate in quality assessment and improvement projects
• Stay current with pharmacy laws and continuing education requirements

Requirements

• Active licensure with the Montana Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Minimum of 2 years of applicable retail pharmacy technician experience
• RQI CPR First Responder certification (training provided during first week)
• Proficient typing skills
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Pioneer RX pharmacy program
• Prior experience with Pharmacy Systems and Electronic Health Records
