Retail Loan Originator

Responsibilities

• Evaluate initial loan applications and supporting documentation to assess creditworthiness
• Perform preliminary analysis of applicants' credit, income, and assets
• Communicate origination timelines, product options, pricing, and underwriting requirements
• Proactively engage with applicants through outbound communication to obtain documentation
• Coordinate with realtors, builders, and third-party partners to support transactions
• Manage the loan process to ensure timely delivery of disclosures and closing documentation
• Maximize monthly funded loan volume while maintaining quality and compliance standards
• Manage and convert a pipeline of centrally provided leads

Requirements

• Background in financial services and sales in an inbound or outbound call center
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and internet skills
• Ability to manage high-volume pipelines and meet critical deadlines
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4 years of successful loan origination experience
• Residential mortgage loan experience
• Knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory mortgage lending requirements
• Understanding of mortgage product, pricing, and underwriting guidelines
• Existing individual state mortgage licensing
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAFE act compliance
