Retail Credit Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support VFS dealers and customers in the truck, construction, and bus industries by underwriting and negotiating financing solutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key dealership personnel, including owners and F&I managers.
• Underwrite, structure, and provide credit approvals for transactions, typically including single unit deals up to $10M.
• Review and spread customer financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform risk analysis using PayNet, tax returns, and personal financial statements to make credit recommendations.
• Manage a personal work queue to ensure timely transaction reviews and adherence to compliance standards.
• Provide collateral analysis and determine document, insurance, and UCC/PMSI requirements to minimize risk.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in loan or lease underwriting, banking, or credit/risk management.
• High level of proficiency in financial statement spreading and analyzing key financial ratios.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Microsoft Teams.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA degree.
• Experience in commercial underwriting or portfolio asset management.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
