Retail Computer Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person technical consultations and troubleshooting for customers at the service counter.
• Diagnose and document hardware failures or software problems on desktops, laptops, mobile phones, TVs, and monitors.
• Recommend service solutions such as data backups, anti-virus, extended warranties, and support subscriptions.
• Assemble custom computers for the build-your-own sales team.
• Maintain constant communication with customers regarding their repair status via face-to-face, telephone, text, and email.
• Handle customer transactions, maintain a cash till, and ensure accurate inventory tracking.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CompTIA A+ or Apple ACMT/ACiT certification (or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Availability to work shifts that include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of related computer service repair or technical customer service experience.
• Existing Apple certifications.
