Retail Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide a positive checkout experience
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system
• Handle cash, credit card, and coupon transactions with precision
• Maintain accountability for cash drawer and complete balancing procedures
• Promote Ace Rewards and other store programs
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and customer-ready
• Answer customer questions and resolve concerns professionally
• Assist with general store cleanliness and operational tasks

Requirements

• Previous retail cashier experience or proficiency with cash handling and POS systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 40 lbs
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual communication skills (Spanish and English)
