Retail Associate

Responsibilities

• Engage consumers in personalized conversations to understand their needs and provide product recommendations.
• Act as a Brand Ambassador by sharing the Columbia Sportswear brand story and embodying company values.
• Merchandise products to create compelling visual stories and maintain sales floor standards.
• Perform cash register transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges, with accuracy and efficiency.
• Connect customers to company loyalty programs during the checkout process.
• Assist with inventory accuracy by receiving and processing incoming and outgoing products.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• 2 years or less of experience in a retail or customer-facing position.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience in selling merchandise.
• Ability to operate Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory software.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including seasonal changes.
• Physical ability to move about the sales floor and lift/move items weighing up to 40 lbs.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
