Retail Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to attract, hire, develop, and retain top talent
• Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences by modeling selling behaviors and product knowledge
• Set and reinforce performance expectations, results goals, and accountability for all associates
• Act as manager on duty to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues
• Implement floorset direction to optimize business and bring the product story to life
• Perform opening and closing routines, including bank deposits and shipment receipt
• Train, coach, and motivate associates to improve selling skills and customer engagement
• Manage payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in a management role, preferably in a retail setting
• Customer-first mindset with the ability to foster a selling culture
• Effective communication skills and the ability to provide in-the-moment coaching
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively
• Availability to work peak days and times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Ability to perform constant physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
