Retail Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to attract, hire, develop, and retain top talent
• Set and reinforce clear performance expectations and accountability for all associates
• Act as manager on duty to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues
• Implement floorset direction to optimize business and bring product stories to life
• Perform opening and closing routines, including bank deposits and shipment receipt
• Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences by modeling selling behaviors and product knowledge
• Train, coach, and motivate associates to improve sales and customer engagement
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging store environment by adhering to all safety standards

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in a management role, preferably in a retail setting
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture and provide in-the-moment coaching
• Effective communication skills and the ability to de-escalate customer situations
• Availability to work peak days and times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience
• Ability to perform constant physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing ladders
