Retail Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to attract, hire, develop, and retain top talent
• Act as manager on duty to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues
• Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences by modeling selling behaviors and product knowledge
• Train, coach, and motivate associates to improve sales performance and customer engagement
• Implement floorset direction and manage operational activities including opening/closing routines and bank deposits
• Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and maintaining a selling focus
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging store environment by adhering to all safety standards

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in a management role, preferably within a retail setting
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide in-the-moment coaching and de-escalate situations
• A customer-first mindset with the ability to foster a selling culture
• Availability to work peak days and times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Ability to perform constant physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing ladders
